Stories have the power to transform: they foster empathy, create connections, and teach us that we are more alike than different. In this anthology, women from diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, professions, and ages share their unique stories. In chapter 28, “When Life Throws You a Curveball,” I shared what I learned when the unexpected happens — mine in the form of a chronic condition — and how to knock that curveball out of the park. From honoring your emotions, having a sense of humor, keeping an open mind, and looking for the life lessons, you will hit an authenticity grand slam!
